The QSU is the University of Virginia's largest LGBT group on Grounds. As such, we strive to provide a safe, welcoming, and confidential environment for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning individuals in the community. We also organize services, activities, and social programs for the student population at UVA, with an emphasis on queer culture and social thought. As the largest LGBT group on Grounds, we work to represent and advocate LGBT students' concerns to the University's administration, alumni/ae, and the local government. Get on the QSU mailing lists for weekly updates and timely announcements.

 

There are two general mailing lists:

 

QSU News is a completely confidential (only one person, the President of QSU, each year has administrative access to the list; this person is sworn to confidentiality). Only the President can post to the QSU News listserv. As a subscriber, you will get weekly newsletters about upcoming QSU events or activities within the UVA LGBT community. Sign up here.

 

QSU Chat is an unmoderated open chat list. Only administrators can see the subscription list; however, any subscriber can post to the listserv. In the past it has been used for casual social discussion, discussion of news items, and announcements such as roommate searches. Sign up here.
